Bok tower gardens

Went to Bok gardens today and what a great place with an unusual tower
We went with an open mind and spent from 9am to 3pm having lunch at the cafe
Definitely recommended

This little fella followed us from the car to the entrance

But didnt have the money for the entrance fee
Look at the face at the door

Thoroughly agree this is a great way to spend a day and also like the food in the cafe. Love sitting listening to the carillon concert. Last time we went we were able to speak to the person playing the carillon and he explained just what it is like to play and how different it is from playing a piano or organ.

Love it there this time of the year with the Christmas themes and music
We often combine it with a visit to one of our favorite resturants close by
Great that you are enjoying things away from the parks

We are annual pass holders to Bok and love it.
If you are a pass holder you get lots of concessions to other places around Florida.

Pinewood estate next door is also worth visiting. It is closed until November 29th though to do Christmas decorations.

We went last December and the decorations were really good. They said they do a theme each year.

Always wondered if this place was worth a visit, considering the bells were cast by Taylor who are based in my home town, Loughborough, I probably should!

I am a bell ringer and our youngest DD went to Loughborough Uni so Bok Tower Gardens was a place we felt we had to visit. It was such a lovely place, so peaceful and tranquil and a world away from the theme parks. It was a wonderful day out and we will return.
