A couple of questions

Hi all, we last went in 2017 and i know things change fast.
we ve decided on a quick relatively last minute Disney fix next April (end of ) for a week... So

1. Am i too late to get Free disney dining? if so can you still buy it and if so, do you have to stay in disney hotel?
2. we have our wristbands from last time, if we stay off site, can we re use them?
3. we are only there for a week, is the 2 weeks for 1 still the cheapest option for passes?
4. Im aware of the disney transprtatipon, coaches etc, but are there Non disney hotels (but on Disney property) that offer good transportation to parks?

Thanks in advance,

dave

In terms of question 4, check out the Disney partner hotels on Hotel plaza boulevard near Disney Springs. They offer excellent transportation.

I think Disney dining has ended now but there might be a free nights offer out. Check out the Disney website. I think the battery life on your magic bands may have ended by now. Not much price difference on 7 or 14 day tickets I don’t think. May be worth looking at undercover tourist for different ticket options to see if better value for what you need? As someone else has said check out Disney neighbour hotels but I would’ve thought if free nights offer is on, a Disney value would be reasonably priced and you can get magical express to/from the airport as well.

If you link your new tickets to the old MDE account, then the answer regarding magic bands is yes you can reuse them...but you might not want to.

Each account has both things it is allowed to do and ways to access those things. If you're old enough it's like the post office savings account where you had a book, and the book allowed you to get out what was in the account. the band is like a book, and the ticket is like cash. You use the band to get at the ticket in the account. So if you had more than one book, you could use either to access what was in the account. When you "deposit" new tickets, you can use your old band to access them.
The point above is valid though. The bands work with 2 types of reader, a close one, (the touchpoints), and for this you will be fine. They also operate with long range readers which pick you up for ride photos as you whizz passed, and with weak or old batteries, the bands may lose the range to work. The batteries are said to last 2 years.
