Disney from Spain
I am lucky enough to be resident in Spain now and beginning to need a trip to Florida. Is there anyone on the forum has made the trip from here? Any problems or things to know, like is it just better to go via UK?
Thanks in advance for any info |

When I check flights I’m often offered flights via Madrid on Iberia so can’t see there would be any reason for you to go via London or elsewhere in Europe unless Madrid is particularly difficult for you to get to. Disney does have UK and Ireland sites and potential I guess other European sites probably worth checking whether they have different deals if booking direct

We're flying with Iberia via Madrid, to Miami, so is that an option for you? Happy planning

Thanks guys, that sounds perfect, I am 20 minutes from Malaga airport, so trips via Madrid are no problem. Left the planning begin.

We went from Malaga when we lived near there, but it was 2002 so things may have changed, we flew with Iberia if I remember, Malaga to Madrid, Madrid to either Philadelphia or Atlanta, then on to Orlando. Flights were all fine and didn't take too much longer than direct from UK to MCO ( where are you? We lived near Coin )

If your just looking at the cheapest way I wouldn’t be surprised if a easy jet etc to Gatwick then ba from Gatwick to Tampa or Fort Lauderdale didn’t come in well priced.

This was one of my thoughts, I guess really I am not worried which way I go as long as I get there. 😁😁

Our booking is actually on a BA codeshare; Heathrow, Madrid, Miami with Iberia, and then Miami to Heathrow direct with BA on the way home. It was £650 cheaper to fly indirect on the way out (We initially booked via Charlotte) and then cheaper still when we changed the booking to via Madrid. Iberia get mixed reviews, but we're used to flying Ryanair so I'm hoping it can't be too bad 🙈😂
