We have just been to Krakow. Had a fabulous time. Lovely restaurants and bars and so cheap. A huge new shopping centre- with a Bath and Bodyworks too !

DD and I had a lovely few days in Brussels (wasn't keen to go!) - we tasted so much yummy chocolate, had cocktails at the Hard Rock, breakfast every day in a little scruffy looking cafe that had amazing fresh croissants. We visited lovely buildings etc and walked everywhere. We stayed right near the Grand Place - gorgeous square with lovely restaurants etc.
Barcelona also has so much to see and do - spoilt for choice.

We have done may European city breaks.
Amsterdam would be good for 18th, its quite a young persons city but with a lot of history and culture.
Prague is also lovely, quite dark and gothic, and good if she likes ghost tours etc
Brussels/bruge are gorgeous cities and what woman doesn't love a weekend of chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate?
Vienna is good if she is into history and culture, likes opera and horse displays

I would second Barcelona especially for an 18th. There’s bars, site seeing, Nou Camp yours/game, beach, shopping and regular flights so not too expensive.
