Used uber a couple of times from CBR but preferred Lyft. Much the same but lyft always worked out cheaper and the drivers seemed to be more experienced.

We used Uber for our recent trip, though we were staying onsite so I don't have a great deal of experience for using Uber to and from the parks.

We did use it between resorts and to get to Universal, and with one exception of a driver trying to claim we had four passengers rather than two, it was fantastic. We did manage to get the money back and complain about that particular driver, though.

The one thing to be aware of is the surge pricing if trying to use Uber at park closing. It tends to spike the cost a little bit.

Don't forget you can use Minnie Vans via Lyft to get between Disney parks and hotels, though the pricing is more in line with Uber Black.

That's a great link - just tried out our planned journeys and the prices are very good.

Glad it worked, I wasn't sure whether it would or not.

Do you have to activate the account once you have downloaded it? We don’t have Uber in our area, but I tend to leave my phone on airplane mode to avoid phone charges

yes needs to be linked to a payment card

you will need some sort of connection to use uber, i only used wifi as its a work phone & didnt want to incur data charges in the US

was easy enough to work on wifi for us

So if I just download and link a card, and then have wi-fi, I don’t need to do anything special to get going?

I’m sure I heard somewhere that you need to receive a call the first time you use it to get started - is that the case?
