Graveyard visits in the morning home by 10.30, usual last minute shopping for everyone else but myself usually tinfoil and a turkey tray stop off for the newspaper and scratchcards for everyone, it;s the only time the kids get to have a scratchcard - usually a pick up from the post office as something's been delivered while we've been out and about the day before. Then last minute wrapping with Christmas movies in the afternoon. Bath's all round and in Christmas Day clothes before 8pm, Carol service at 8.30pm and Christmas Eve mass at 9pm, home by 11pm then relax.

Although this year our school has been asked to sing at the Children's Mass at 6pm I think it is, so I might have to go to that to help supervise that. But I'll be going to 9pm as normal as when I'm at mass for work I'm too busy making sure the kids are safe, behaving etc I don't feel as if I've been to mass
I'll have to wait and see as it may mix my day and plans up

We take the kids to the local church for christingle service, then have the family round for games and food, it turns into a bit of a mad house with lots of excited kids but It’s all good fun!

Not a last minute shopper - In fact I will be done by 1st Dec. I just never get the time to wrap. 😐. I get home from work about 8pm, dinner, washing up, sort out a few things and bed. Weekend are also manic - I really must try harder to get it done but been wrapping Christmas Eve for the last 10 years.

Over the last few years we have had Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve evening.

So in the morning I prep all the veg etc - ideally whilst watching Gone with the Wind, which has been on tv 4 of the last 5 Christmas Eve mornings! I love that I have a really relaxed day getting the dinner ready and it means that on Christmas Day itself we have ‘Boxing Day’ type food, which means I can go off to church, watch the boys unwrap pressies etc, without the stress of worrying about the food in the oven and spending a chunk of time in the kitchen! 🙂

How about wrapping when you buy, or try going just 2 or 3 a day. I get overwhelmed with having to wrap loads at once plus my presentation suffers lol with the longer I do it.

We just choose different fillings and a variety of types of bread and get them on platters ready.
