I would highly recommend "you"!

DIY isn't all that hard really and you have full control. I have never seen the value in travel agents.

I book DIY but still use agents to book certain elements. Even a simple DIY booking of accommodation/tickets direct with Disney and flights direct with the airline still has the Disney side booked through the Walt Disney Travel Company.

Plus, some people like to book a full package with an agent to pay a low deposit and then save towards paying the balance in full 8 weeks before the holiday. Not everyone has the money to pay in full for flights if booking DIY. You can get around that with a fly-drive booking, but that's always worked out more expensive for us as we don't hire a car. Some people like the security of an ABTA/ATOL package too.

I'm all for DIY and the savings that can be made, but it's not for everyone

I know there is an issue with them not accepting Credit Cards now, but that's their way of dealing with not being allowed to pass on that charge. I booked before the law change so always knew there'd be a charge for that

I would certainly recommend them
We booked with charter and went to there shop to pay remaining balance the other day with cash and some on credit card for security if needed payed the small charge for that job done 😊

Another vote for Magic My Holiday. We went with them last October and Mattie couldn't do enough for us so I booked for 2019 with them. After a wobble by me earlier in the week Mattie took it all in hand adjusted my holiday and brought it in cheaper than VH. Unfortunately it means we have to go for 18 days instead of 17... oh, ok if we have to!
I am so impressed with the customer service. They are not the biggest team but amazing personal service.

We usually book direct with Disney with cash back. Might book with Orlando Attractions this time though.

Thanks for all the advice everyone. Will get a couple of quotes and have a look. I do like the idea of booking hotel + tickets through someone in case there are problems.

Hi Aurynn,

Just posted a similar message on a similar thread so apologies for the duplication. I was just going to mention Attraction Tickets Direct now sell hotels + tickets (I've used them many times for the latter - excellent, perhaps not quite the cheapest) so definitely worth giving them a call... I'm sure they've got various packages etc.

That said, I personally usually piece it together myself from various websites but understand the reassurance of booking it all as one.

Good luck!
