Additional food cost when on DDP?

I know tips need to be paid.

But what I mean is.

If you have standard DDP - is that basically all food paid for? Or will I still need to budget some $ for food?

Would love to hear your experiences please.

Have never had DDP as previously had TiW card and often stayed in DVC resorts so were able to eat well in room.

You shouldn't need any extra as there is so much food included! We had food left over and ended up taking a lot of sweets home to use up our credits. I guess if you want additional alcoholic drinks or speciality souvenir cup drinks that would be extra.

We've never bought extra food when we have a dining plan (5 times now) as we find that there's plenty of food, drinks and snacks already included. If you think you might want some appetisers with your TS meals, then you'll need to budget for that, but on the whole you should find that you have plenty of food

Fabulous, thanks so much.

I was hoping that was the case, I'm more than happy to just have 2 meals per day, but we've not been to WDW yet with our daughter.

Lots of trips to DLP with her though and I find as she doesn't eat large portions we're stopping for food way more often than we did before we had her.

I guess that's where our snack credits would come into play though.

Never spent another penny and that was with QSDP.
Plus we took over 30 Bars of ghirardelli and other stuff home from snack credits.

Same here, only extra food we bought was if we were offsite at the malls or beach.

We still spend a fair bit on food, and even more on drink.

If we go to somewhere like the California Grill, we will have starters, maybe an extra cheese course as well as cocktails, wine and port.

It's not necessary of course, but we like nice meals and don't want to miss out on elements we enjoy just because it's not included in the DDP.

We did a couple of dinners offsite so that we could do some 2 credit meals. Apart from that and alcoholic drinks we spent nothing else

tips and extra drinks. We had about 350 bill in the end of 14 days but drinks were not included at the time and we would have paid for few drinks

We typically want more table service meals than are included, so end up paying out of pocket for the cheapest ones. We have tons of quick service left over normally!
