My son will be 8 whilst we are staying in RPR...

Has anyone celebrated a birthday whilst in Universal and can anyone give me ideas and tips for his special day.

I'm interested in this as well. My son will also be 8 when we are in Universal next Easter. Do Universal give out any birthday badges or anything to show you are celebrating a birthday?

I got a birthday badge at guest services.
Went over to the mystical fountain in IOA and it played a very loud fan fare and sang happy birthday complete with a soaking from its fountains! Made my holiday, wish we'd got a video

Also got a free birthday cupcake and sang to in bubba grumps.

My daughter got a birthday badge from guest services and lots of people wished her Happy Birthday. Getting on Jurassic Park ride the attendant brought us straight to the front of the line to ride and gave her some passes to uses at other rides later.

She also got a free dessert at a restaurant that I can't remember the name of. I think it's hit or miss on the actual day.

It's fun having a birthday at Disney or Universal

Let RPR know on your reservation that it's a birthday & they will give your DS a badge at check in. He should get cake in the room & vouchers for ice cream &/or kids cocktail. This is what my DH got at HRH for his b'day in April. He got lots of attention in the park too.
