I think the cops would need to be called if this happened to me i just wouldnt go away with a letter.
You did nothing wrong the seller would be the person to be in the wrong i suppose this just shows everyone that you should take all receipts with you.

I agree I would have had to be escorted of the premises too, I wouldn't have left.

How is the seller in the wrong, it was an entry control machine malfunction, what can the seller do about that?

If the had been used by another person then the seller missold them and they would be the ones in the wrong.
If it was a machine problem then it was universals fault stand your ground if its not your fault.

After reading this thread I am wondering if I should photocopy my vouchers prior to exchanging and at least then I have hard proof that the tickets are actually genuine.

I felt sick when I read how people have been treated, obviously they haven't got 'good people skills'!

wow, i really feel for you, i know what you mean when you say you felt as though people were seing you as a thief, similar happened to me in walmarts with my credit card and a trolley full of goods. if it were me i would be tempted to inform some official on the dibb re which advertiser you bought off, so they can monitor , but universal i feel really were out of order in their approach towards you, lesson for us all now a)take a copy of receipt of purchase and b) never buy used tickets off street seller in orlando, regards, bondy.

This happened to us in 2009 with the staff on the turnstyles escorting us to guest services where the guy behind the counter loudly accused us of having stolen tickets.

Unfortunatley for him and Universal i waited for the verbal assault to finish and then gave it to him with both barrels. 30 mins later we walked out of there with free unlimited tickets, express line passes and a full refund on the tickets even though we hadn't bought them from there.

The point is, never back down and stand up for what is only right for them to treat you like a criminal is hugely wrong!

I guess thats why they offered me a £250 refund. Maybe I should have tried for more. I wanted to get it over and done with and I guess we did get 2 extra days in disney..
