Immigration at Atlanta , taking food stuff
So we have through tickets with Delta LHR-ATL-MCO travelling on 6/9/2018. We have 1 hour 56 mins for connection I am aware this is tight and Delta say it will be fine. Presume they will move us to the next available flight is we are too late. We were planning on taking cereal and t bags but I’m now wondering if declaring these we will have to do extra security at Atlanta which may then scupper our chances of making the connection.
Have others taken food through ? And do you always get stopped and checked?

Taking food stuffs is not a problem, all you have to do is declare them on arrival.
The only delay might come from not declaring them, and then getting questioned during a search.

We did this route at Easter. No custom forms. Officer asked at the desk. Declared tea bags and instant coffee. He just smiled and waved us through. No extra screening.
Have had extra screening at MCO they just put case through another scanner, took less than 5 mins |
