My Disney Experience app issues
Hi. Has anyone else experienced an issue when trying to search for FP+ using the MDE app? Got our park tickets through this week for our August trip and while i know we cant book anything for our trip, i was interested to see how easy it will be when the window opens. I can select a date and search for MK or AK but whenever I select Epcot or HS I get a 'sorry we can't open this page' message.
If I go to the Disney website and sign into MDE that way I can access all parks but would be much handier to do it through the app. Any ideas? |

Yes, I have been having the same problem. I've resorted to using the computer whereas last time we went, in 2015, I mainly did them on my phone.

I didn’t think you could dummy run, I thought access was restricted until you hit 60 or 30 day’s out?

when in doubt, shut the app, put the phone down and use the website on PC/laptop

If you’ve the usual open ticket (no set dates), the neither the app nor the ticket knows when you are actually going - you could be there next week or in 3 months, they won’t know...
So that means you can try a ‘dummy’ booking for any date within the 30 (or 60) days from today, to see how it works. Of course, you won’t be there on those days, but the system doesn’t know that so lets you book the FP. Once booked, and you’re happy you now know how to do it, you can then cancel them, and then wait until you are 30/60 days out from your actual trip to book the deals FPs. |

Don’t think this works if you have a ticket linked to a resort stay .

It does as that's what I've been doing but not if I search for Epcot or HS
