Getting booking stressed!

For the last few yrs I've always booked our flights the first week in July after our flights have been released (going May) and have always had a good price of under �500 each. Usually they're high initially then a week or 10 days later go down. This time they're staying at over �800 with Virgin (�656 with netflights)
Starting to feel like they'll never come down 😕

I know the feeling - we're looking for 2nd - 16th May and they are at nearly �600pp with virgin (�500 through netflights).
I was really hoping for around the �400pp mark.
(This is for 2 adults 1 child)
Hoping they will come down over the next few weeks.
I like to get my flights booked early - never feel like my holiday is a definite until my flights are booked!

If be happy with �500 tbh but no way I'm paying �650 😕
