What to do on a saturday?
I'm now planning my days using busy day guide and ive noticed that saturdays are very busy in every park on that day so do people avoid saturdays? If im to avoid a park on saturday would you recommend doing other activities that im planning to do ie shop, visit bogey creek, blue man show, Also i wanted to catch a sporting event which this will most likely be a weekend anyway.

I would also have a look at the Wait time history for the corresponding Saturday last year and have a look at what parks are the quietest, although HS now has extra attractions so might be worth avoiding that on a Saturday anyway

We like to watch a baseball game on a weekend but the schedule didn’t suit us last month so we hit the malls early then had a drive out and a walk round Celebration which was nice

We booked to go to Discovery Cove on one Saturday and then used the other Saturday to go shopping 😁

We always book Discovery Cove on either a Saturday or Sunday, likewise an Airboat trip.
As a family we are always at every park at Ropedrop/opening and in this way, generally get the sought after rides and stuff out of the way before the crowds arrive. This also works well on weekends.

When in the 'happy place', we never do any parks or water parks over the weekend. We're there for around 17 days till end of August and spend these weekend days as rest days at our villa, pool side etc. might go to an outlet but again these tend to be busy at weekends too.
I suppose for us we tend to go to the parks after lunch at the villa and spend the rest of the day and evening at each of the parks we visit. We're on holiday and wouldn't want to be at any of the parks as they open, too early for us, all except the water parks, when we like to be there when they open to get a shady place for the day. We book 3 fast passes for the rides we want to do, book other fast passes at the machines dotted around the parks, and this seems to fit our bill exactly. However, everyone has an ideal time that's suits them when on holiday and what they want to do and see each day. That's the joy of Disney, go when you want, do what you want, see what you want and enjoy every exciting minute. |
