14 day to annual question again

hi read the info on my last post regarding upgrading my 14 day to an annual pass
the best deal to do this seems to be once the ticket is activated at the gate then go to customer services to get a upgrade as they have no idea how much you paid for the uk ticket but only to cross reference it with a 10 day myw ticket with added water park and memory maker

i have looked on disney site for the ten day ticket with hopper option plus water park and memory maker and this comes to $676.18 with tax

the annual platinum pass is $797.69 (not bothered about the water parks)

does this mean they will deduct the $676.18 from the $797.69 to find the upgrade price of $121.51 / £110

so for £110 i can upgrade to an annual pass and get my money back with less than 7 days of parking

It doesn't seem that clear cut.
We had 14 day tickets and upgraded on 1st day at MK to a platinum annual pass. We paid about £900 for 2 adults and 1 child. The child ticket cost more to upgrade as childrens annual passes cost the same as an adult annual pass.
I think they give you back the price of a US standard ticket.
We then got refunded our parking on 1st day.

different people have had different experiences.

most people have the current price of the ultimate deducted from the current price of an ap - you choose wether you want the water park option. i think this is the "proper" way they should do it, although some cast members don't really understand what an ultimate ticket is and do it different ways.

very few people get the value that you are assuming.

have an idea of what prices you may be offered and then choose to accept or rect whatever they offer you.

be aware that if you have booked fastpasses on your ultimate, all but the first 7 days will be wiped out. explain to the cast member that you want ALL of your fastpasses copied to your ap.
