Magic Bands

Hi,

We bought our attraction tickets as part of our package with Virgin.

The girl in the shop recommended buying the magic bands once we get there in place of our tickets.

Is it worth doing this at all? We got the memory maker in with our ticket also.

Thanks

Magic Bands are a wonderful invention and I wouldn't go to Disney without using them! You can buy them at MCO or in any of the Disney parks or Disney Springs and they will link your tickets to them. Once linked, the bands will contain your tickets, fast passes, and your memory maker. Means you don't have to keep getting your little paper ticket out of your pocket everytime you enter a park, or want a photopass picture done, or use a fast pass. The way the work blows my mind lol. Well worth the money!

I'm guessing I'll be given some kind of voucher off Virgin to exchange for our tickets at the ticket booths at WDW. Do I buy the magic bands at the same time?

I'm not sure if you can buy then at the booths, I never saw them there, but the majority of gift shops in the parks sell them. Also, you could book one night at a value resort, you would then get them for free, be able to link your tickets to your booking on my Disney experience which wouldn't last the entire time your tickets are valid x

If you link your tickets to MDE before you go and buy magic bands when you arrive then you don't need to pick up the physical tickets.

There's a bit of info here for you. They're $12.95 each plus tax. So about $14 I think.

That's the price if the basic colored bands. Fancy character bands can be much more.
