Merlin Pass question

So my daughter has taken a job with merlin and she has given me and one of her sisters merlin passes she gets free.
She did our pictures and all we got sent back was a barcode to use.
Was wondering if anyone has had similar given to them and if we need to do anything else, I was expected a physical card or something.
Haven't been to a merlin park for ages so haven't got a clue what to expect.

Just scan the barcode on entry and the rep will have your pic pop up on their screen.

The Merlin passes changed to passbook type a few years ago, don�t know how the pics work, I assumed it was like DLP or something where the gate attendant can see the picture as you walk through?

Thank you for your replies, luckily I found out you had to prebook your trips which I was surprised about.
