Do you think it will make much difference in the new terminal .?..only asking because you get cases first and then onto border control so would be long queues im guessing with being drip fed in from the baggage area

It depends. Most of the time, queues are much less of an issue in Terminal C for the reason you said, so MPC is less likely to be useful. However there are some days/times when queues form and MPC can help. Some people like to do MPC every time just in case - it doesn't hurt anything if you don't use it. With Terminal C you also have the option of just waiting and doing MPC while waiting for your bags if the queue looks bad.

Honestly, I recommend just opening the app and stepping through it now - you can do it anytime before your trip. I think you'll find that more useful than someone's secondhand account.

You have the steps generally correct. Now you can scan the passport information in with your phone, which may be a new change from your last trip. The questions are the same as on the old paper customs form found here: https://www.cbp.gov/sites/default/fi..._english_0.pdf
