Caribbean beach question

Hi

Is it worth £230 to upgrade a room from standard to a lake/pool view for a 2 week stay ?

I'd save the money. You only use the room for sleeping, so what's the point of having a view?

No, I personally wouldn't, we had a standard room in Jamaica and it was perfect, 5 mins to the pool/food areas, 2 mins to the bus stop, and the Jamaica quiet pool. The main pool was so noisy, this was pre skyliner though.

I wouldn't. Often pool view rooms are the most noisy ones.

I'd only upgrade to a sea view... if it wasn't very much more.

Standard views are fine, it's such a lovely resort.

We had a standard room in Jamaica and the front door and window faced the lake so we struck lucky. There were also several rooms which overlooked an internal garden which we also would have been happy to have. It was a great location as it was the same side as the skyliner.

We had a pirate room and there were thick nets across the window that opened on to an open walkway to the stairs down. We spent very little time in the room and in fact it quickly became claustrophobic. The resort is beautiful with its long waterway, ‘beach’ hammocks and lush planting. The pool is wonderful too. You won’t want to be in your room gazing out.

Standard Rooms are fine. We had a lovely view over one of the courtyards. I would save your efforts into finding the right building that suits your needs. Close to Port Royale or to the skyliner.

Dont forget some buildings in Aruba although they seem a distance away are only a short distance from the riviera resort.

We stayed in Building 44 and have to say we thought it was far better than the preferred rooms.
