Pop century hotel, skyliner

Hi guys, I have booked the pop century hotel for me and hubby and noticed it has the skyliner, for those that have been and used it, is it a lot of hassle going from pop to Epcot? Hubby is a sucker for driving everywhere but I said it would be nice to catch it and have a few drinks together around the world. Do you have to keep changing at every resort?

Many thanks

I stayed at Pop in 2019 with the Skyliner and I absolutely loved the Skyliner!

To get from Pop to Epcot, you would take this route (estimated times are my impressions but may be slightly off):
Pop to the CBR central station - probably around 5 minutes
CBR central station to Epcot International Gateway entrance - probably around 15 minutes, with a stop at Riviera on the way (no need to get off)

There was almost no waiting time then, you just get on the next cabin to arrive and off you go! Even if there is a long queue, the cabins come so quickly and people get loaded so quickly that I never had to wait longer than 5 minutes in line for the next cabin.

I absolutely loved that I knew I could get from my room in Pop (fairly close to the Skyliner station) to Epcot in 25 minutes or so including walking and waiting time! Made getting around so much nicer, plus I had a great view while on the Skyliner.

The main things to watch out for with the Skyliner however are:
- Not sure what the situation is with COVID at the moment, for a while I had heard they were restricting capacity but not sure what is the current situation.
- It stops running in bad weather, in which case you would have to take the bus.
- It may not start early enough or end late enough for early early EMH or late EMH etc, there were a few times I had to take buses to/from Epcot/DHS because it was too early or too late to take the Skyliner.
- There was a day or two during my trip when the Epcot line went down, so Skyliner was no longer an option that time.

You have to change once, at Caribbean Beach. This is true for both Epcot and Hollywood Studios, as CBR is the hub station that all lines run in to.

I see mostly rave reviews for it on here, although I do know it can get busy at peak times such as park opening with people having to queue to board. But if you're going up to Epcot of an evening, there shouldn't be any wait.

Although keep in mind that going in summer, the Skyliner does not operate if there's lightning in the area. So you have to wait for replacement buses when that happens.

We've booked POP! for use of the Skyliner, you have to change at CBR for both HS and Epcot.
