BA have refunded me £400.
Hi folks
After this October trip got cancelled I rebooked for next June, will be an extra £500 for the car, ok as I was expecting to pay more. Haven't paid anything towards the £500 yet, but BA have now refunded £400 back on to my credit card. Go to manage my booking and it says I have nothing more to pay, but the car hire is gone from my booking. All the flights are still there. It looks to me that they have cancelled my car hire but kept my flights, but they told me that wasn't an option when I called them as it was a flight/car package. Anyone else heard similar before I spend a couple of hours on the phone to them |

That they haven't got a car now probably.
Or they are asking for similar experiences when they were told no but it has seem to have become yes. Seems clear to me.

Yeah Tom, that's it in a nutshell.
We were originally an extra £1300 for the Suburban we had booked but he managed to get us a minivan for £500. Minivan now £3000 at Avis. At no point have they contacted me to let me know of this change. |

If you need any help ref a car and prices pop on to the Car Forum. Loads will muck in to help.
Your first port of call should be Virgin Atlantic for a stand alone hire and Andy who advertises on that Forum and can get offline prices.

Thanks Tom, will have a look.
We're in a villa so definitely need a car & with 4 adults and a 6'2 14 year old, it can't be a small one either. |

I’d try Andy as Tom has suggested he has some good prices given the current situation and is very helpful.

Thanks Keith.
This'll be our sixth visit since 2012, the thought of doing it in an Uber is not appealing at all. |
