Mobile 8 seater car hire

Hello ✋
I’m travelling to Orlando for 21 nights in July with 8 people in total (4 adults 4 kids). Does anybody have any ideas about which car companies that use 8 seaters? All I can seem to find is Alamo with an 8 seater Toyota Sienna. Also I’ve used a link from my works benefits system to use with Alamo. Prices are coming in at £1282 for the Sienna or £1457 for a premium SUV. In the description it says 8 seaters. Is this worth the extra in anybody’s option. Thanks in advance. We’ve been to Florida before but a little out of the loop as was 6 years ago the last time we travelled 👍🏻

Hi. Most of the big players hire out 8 seaters including Avis and Hertz.

I must caution you that 8 people in an 8 seater wont accomodate luggage on the airport runs. Have you thought of a 12 seater van?

I'd echo the previous poster we had a 7 seater but the back seat would not have fitted 3 comfortably, maybe 3 kids but not 3 kids cat seats. Luggage can be a big issue for the larger numbers.

It might be cheaper to hire another small car for 1 day each end of your trip for the airport runs. We did this when we had the Sienna for 6 adults and 2 children. There was no way we were getting all the luggage and people into the Sienna but it was comfortable for the rest of the trips we all did together.

If you have someone else in the party of 4 adults who could drive this would usually be a cheaper option than hiring the 12 seater.

Hi 👋🏻
Thanks for the replies 👍🏻 We might have to rethink the car size. I’ve sent Andy from dfch to see what he can do.
Thanks

could go for an 8 seater for 4 + bags and a taxi for 4 .
this way you could follow the taxi to your accommodation ,if unsure where you were going ,and then the same going back to the airport,
may work out cheaper than a second car

A Suburban or Experdition Max will have the space but take a deep breath at potential prices.
Others offer good advice.
Enjoy
