Drinkers- How much booze do you drink ?

With my hubbys comment the other day saying that the corona virus won’t get me because the amount of wine I drink it was funny at the time and kind of gave me the green light to carry on ... but actually looking at my recycle bin I think lately I’m probably drinking a bit too much ...

I don’t go out drinking but at home in evenings I’m not working I drink probably 2 sometime 3 bottles of wine a week (a bottle about 2/3 nights of the week)
I do drink a bottle to myself though and eat snacks and have water with it so wake up fine usually although I’ve never really suffered bad with hangovers tbh .( which kind of shows I’ve built up a tolerance I guess )

Now before I get slated and deemed to be a alcoholic by the non drinkers , I’m asking the question at the drinkers not the non drinkers ...

How much booze do you drink ? ( be honest )

2 to 3 a week! My God you are a lightweight!

I have cut down as wine is expensive. I have 2 single G & T's a night so hit the 14 units a week recommended not to be exceeded.

If I want to go over I will.

Well thanks to a certain person on here (MH) I have a terrible reputation as a booze hound.
We used to share a bottle of wine with our dinner every night but we stopped that a few years ago. That absolutely never affected me and I never had hangovers.
These days I'm a binge drinker. I rarely drink at home unless entertaining so sometimes go weeks without a drink. I have just gone 31 days.
The trouble is I can't drink like I used to, I tend to stick to wine which doesn't help!

I love my wine!
I try to stick to two bottles per week - that's around 20 units. I will rarely go above this, but might be under some weeks.

The old guidelines were 21 units for a male - so this was OK.
Now the guidance is 14 units so I am over that.

I aint planning on changing.

Too much tbh. It’s my weakness, especially red wine.
We’ve recently moved house and the village pub is less than 2 minutes walk away. It’s also dog friendly, so very accessible and often end up popping in for a quick one when walking the dog.

Totally depends week to week for me. I can go weeks without any and then I might have 2-3 beers a night for a few nights which would exceed the recommended limit.

Loving these replies ...
Yes I am classed as a binge drinker too I suppose .
If I open a bottle I finish it simple .

All other aspects of my life are super healthy so it’s my weakness too I guess and such a nice thing to do when watching tv ...

I don’t drink much in the house, I like to go out.
Another ‘problem’ we have with our local is that as well as being so close, and dog friendly, it’s really cheap! A large glass of Merlot and a pint costs us around £6.50.
