Is anyone able to tell me the current price of fuel at the moment in usa?

Early August it was around $3-50 per gallon.

Today it is 3.63 per gallon but on the news yesterday they are predicting it to go down next week (just like home).

3.63 when we filled up last night, the car here drinks petrol though only about 23 miles to the gallon.

Prices in the states tend to go up before a holiday weekend,the prices will likely go down after Monday labour day holiday

I think you have that round the wrong way. Gas prices go down before a holiday and then go up again afterwards, they do it to encourage people to travel.
