Budget for. Family of 4 adults

Thinking of taking our 2 adult kids to Florida next may . Usually there is just me and DH who travel so have lost touch a bit with budget for 4 as we normally spend a few days on site (using rented dvc points) a few days with dsil and some time in a hotel. This time would likely be a few days on site and a villa (2 weeks hols). They would definitely want to do universal parks and I would imagine Disney.

I’m assuming we are looking at between £10 -15k do you think this reasonable assumption?

Tia

A lot of variables:

Direct v indirect
Preferred airline
Hotel (on and off site)
Where/what to eat
Shopping
Hire car
Etc

I guess it's the DVC point's that is crippling you there. For 4 people 2 weeks even during school terms I'd be looking at 2-3k villa 2 weeks and flights 1k each, car 500 plus misc.

So maybe about 7-8k.

If time of year is not an issue then I'd say the price can be 30% cheaper even more potential.

You can also find cheaper villa's if you stay further away from the 192.

Usual sites etc.. but can post here if allowed if you need.

I think you should be able to do it for under 10000 easily. We paid around 1700 per adult x 4.

Villa 9 nights,
Cabana Bay 4 nights - 2 suites
1 night Pier 60 Clearwater 2 rooms
Flew with Virgin
Disney 4 Parks
Universal 3 Parks
Seaworld, Busch Gardens and Aquatica
Car Hire - Jeep

Only thing we didnt have was the disney water parks - we went Mid November.

Thanks we don’t have to have an on site stay do I’m sure we could bring the price down if needs be. Just a long time since we’ve all been to Florida together DD lives in Dubai so don’t get to see her as much as we would like and I’m planning on retiring so thought I would use some of my lump sum for a family holiday. Haven’t told DH yet btw 🤪

To give you a ballpark, for 16 nights, end Sept - into Oct... 6 nights at Cabana Bay, 10 nights at Old Key West, inc tickets to both Disney and Universal and Discovery Cove, we're hovering around £2.5k per person.

You can obviously do that much cheaper, and much more expensive. It depends on how flexible you are and how much you're willing to compromise.

I’d say you could do the lower end of your budget with some careful planning, and the upper end of your budget will enable you all some luxury

We’re away for a month, 8 different locations in Florida, 2adults, 2teens, indirect out to Miami, direct home to Heathrow. We’ve got tickets to Discovery Cove etc (with dolphin swim), Universal x 14 days and Disney x 4 days. Also an SUV for 28 nights. Total spend is just under £8k, spending money budgeted at £4K

Happy planning!
