Most of our trips have been April/May and we choose then primarily for the weather. Generally warm to hot, with little rain. But we have had trips, notably 2013, when it rained quite a lot. But we just got on and enjoyed it.

It is our favorite time of the year, Lovely and hot, Vest top and shorts weather, We have been several times in April and it is always lovely and hot. Its great as humidity is also lower. Only thing is over noticed over the years is this time of year is now getting busy.
But I do believe most months are busy now.

We went 2016 - generally great, warm, not super hot, low humidity. However we did have 2 days of rain (one was 8am til 3pm - there was road flooding) and one short spell of "unseasonal" hailstones where all the guys serving in the restaurant on the 192 ran out to put their cars undercover as they were not covered for the hailstone damage option (being in Florida why would you!).

Excellent time of year to go, not too hot or humid. Maybe take a hoodie but it will probably stay in the boot of the car.
