Is there child swap and how does it work?
Hi,
Following on from my last post, we’re now all booked up for early September. They’ll be myself and husband and our 6,4 and 1 year olds. The 6 year old (and hopefully 4 year old) will be tall enough to go on quite a few rides which the baby won’t be able to. Do they have something similar to child swap in Paris? We have used WDW child swap a few times. Thanks! Laura Edited at 08:51 PM. |

Yes they do. I’m pretty sure you can do parent swap at any ride that has a height restriction. Personally, We have used it at rock n roller and hyper space mountain. Just queue up as normal and get the child swap at the start of the ride.

You can do child swap at any ride, it does not necessarily have to have a height restriction. Each ride/attraction has a slightly different procedure, so just ask the CM at the entrance to each ride and they'll let you know what to do.
A 1-yr old can ride most things though luckily. We took our toddler twice last year and he loved Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Slinky Dog coaster etc there was only the bigger thrill rides he couldn't go on. |

Great, thanks both, good to know we won’t have to miss out/queue twice for things.
On a related note, I can see on autopia you have to be a certain height to drive, but are there any other restrictions? Ie could I take both boys on big thunder for example even though one would have to sit in front/behind me? We have struggled in LEGOLAND about the ‘accompanied’ definitions.. Thanks |

On Big Thunder Mountain an adult and 2 small children can fit on one seat or you and your husband could each ride with one of the boys using child swap x

Great, thanks, didn’t realise we could all squeeze in one carriage. The boys will probably want to go on at the same time, but if not, we’ll split up and take one each.
