Naples
We are looking at staying in Naples for 1 night on our way from Miami to Sand Key.
We have never been to that area of the gulf before so thought we would stay for a day and night just to get a bit of a flavour to see if in the future it will be somewhere we might stay for longer. Can anyone who has been, suggest what area of Naples would be the best area to stay in to get that flavour please? We are a couple in our early 50's -no children. Thanks for any advice in advance! |

Getting Excited
|
Hi, we stayed for 2 nights in the Naples Beach and Golf Club. It was right on the beach which made for wonderful walks on the beach and was near Naples Pier. Everything within a reasonable distance.
It was amazing and I would recommend it for a relaxing couple of days. We got a good deal on the hotel and we would revisit one day if we could.

I’d there for just one night get a hotel near the old town, say Inn on Fifth or Naples Beach Club as above, something like that. I like to rent a Villa at Lely but that’s for a week and I’ve been a dozen times or more.

Hyatt House on 5th Avenue is a really nice hotel on the river and within walking distance of plenty restaurants.

Here in Naples now would recommend the Cove inn right on the marina, got up to see a dolphin very close to us swimming between the boats. Short walk to the pier and shops, restaurant's. Good meal last night in the old pub, also good food in the boat house next door.

Another vote for Inn in the 5th loved that hotel. Very central. Just come back from a week in the Lely Resort loved that too, definitely a place we will go back to.

Not sure when you’re going but Inn on 5th has closed their main hotel entirely for around 6 weeks Sept-Oct 2019 for complete refurbishment.
They’re not taking any new bookings for that period. However existing bookings such as us have been offered free upgrades to their concierge Club suites in their building across the street, yippee 😃 |
