We like Celebration for the lake walk and the places to eat, we use Sweet Escape for lunch a couple of times while away.

But when we were there a couple of weeks ago we found that the two gift shops on Market Street were both closed.

We were there in April and also noticed that the big shop on Market Street that always sold lots of Christmas stuff was closed. The windows were covered and we wondered if they had closed or just doing internal refurbishment works.

We all love Celebration and love to take time out on “our” rocking chairs and watch the world go by. Usually we are with another 3 or 4 families. Ice cream all round from Kilwin’s then a walk round the lake 😀

This year my wife and I are staying at the Bohemian, just because we’ve seen it so many times on our visits.

Lovely place to while away a few hours. Unfortunately at the moment the fountain is out of order due to refurb for the next 2 months according to signs on it

I was amused reading about the spelling mistakes on the fountain refurb... "Wald Disney" and “Captativa Island.”

We stayed there for the first few days of our trip a couple of years ago and got a lake view room with lovely balcony. We loved it and would definitely stay again. Celebration is really nice during the evening when its almost just locals around going for dinner etc. There are some pics pf the hotel in this link -

Hi, we've never made it to Celebration before, but it sounds like somewhere we should really try and get to this month. We've got a villa in Davenport, Regal Palms...could anyone guess how long it'd take us to drive to Celebration from that area? Ice cream's always an attraction! 😃

You're almost next door to Highgate Park where we stay.

Shortest route is east along 192 - around 12 miles 25 minutes although we often pop down 27 and through Championsgate up the I-4 and into Celebration the "back" way.

Thank you for the link, your photos look excellent, roll on July 3rd and our stay. We are hoping to watch the 4th July fireworks from the pool area, a late swim, or from the rear deck

Kilwin's

Hiya,

Does anyone know if Kilwin's sells any dairy free ice creams? Don't want to take DD and DS to find only one can have an ice cream!
