We love the flexibility of been able to either convert bulk amount upfront, or just pay as you go! Simply load it up (convert to $ or spend in £) All from the control of the app!

Just keep an eye out when tipping as they tend to clear at a later date! We're yet to find somewhere that doesn't accept it for payment.
Do you include tips on the card then? I was planning on paying the restaurant bill on the app but using cash for tips.

Yes we tip using revolut, we just make sure we make a rough note of what is due to drop at a later date. But obviously zero issue with using cash also! I think also you can withdraw £200 fee free a week (dont quote me on that!)

We also like it when were with other people that have the app as you can split bills/ request and send money

A quick note of caution. I have been contacted a number of times by scammers claiming to be from revolute and trying to fish for information. I have had phone calls and emails and some have been very convincing. Needless to say I didn't give any info as I suspected a scam but they were quite convincing with some of my details etc. insisting that my card had been compromised and claiming to be from Revolut security services. Other than that... using the card has been useful to some degree but tbh we now just chuck everything on a Halifax credit card and pay off the balance when we get home. Not sure it's as cost effective but it beats messing about with topping up the revolut card every other day. You'd have to spend quite a lot for it to make a huge difference but I guess using the credit card will save about £30 over a fortnight of spending.

Were the numbers foreign? American I think? I’ve had a couple of calls I haven’t answered and tonight had a text from a weird foreign number claiming to be from revolut saying my account had been suspended and a link to click on. I haven’t used my revolut card for years (haven’t even still got it) so have just deleted the text but it all looks like a scam!

To be honest can never see the appeal of the Revoult card... I have survived years using a mixture of...

a) Cash
b) Credit card (nationwide/PO)
c) Clarity card (in case need anymore hard dollars)

Each to their own but just can't see the major benefits

We can’t get a clarity card as we’re living in Ireland. But for us having a prepaid card means we don’t come home to a big credit card bill as we are only spending what we have
