Hard Rock to Volcano Bay
Hi all,
We are booked into HRH for one night where I understand there is a free shuttle to Volcano Bay. Does anyone know what time the shuttle starts and how long it takes? I think I read somewhere that it drops you at the entrance to VB - is that right? We will get to HRH early to make use of breakfast in Club. We are then debating on whether to go to VB to make use of the early entry or just hit the parks. My view is that as we have FOLP we should go to VB then say, IOA later in the day. Day 2 we can do early entry to Harry Potter. Views welcome please. Thank you. |

Honestly? Don’t waste FOLP days at Volcano Bay as it’s not valid there. There’s no benefit in this compared to being in Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure - you can do both parks in 2 days easily, especially with early access both days.
You can then do VB another day, getting the coach with everyone else for opening from City Walk Edited at 10:29 AM. |

Actually I think your plans a good one. We got so much more done in the first hour or so before the general public were allowed in. The bus leaves HRH well before park opening, think we waited half an hour at turnstiles after. Rode Krakatoa 4 times on the trot plus most of the others in a couple of hours, went back, got changed and with EP rode the coasters and rides full on for the rest of the day 👍

I agree with the first response, you only have one day at HRH and therefore it makes more sense to make the most of the FOLP. I would leave VB until another day.

The shuttle drops you of at VB.
We got the first one last year at 8am - then stood at the turnstiles for an hour That hour of early entry made a huge difference - as the poster above says - we rode the major rides multiple times without any queue. Then once the gates opened wait times went thru the roof - rode the lazy rivers and then we left and went to IOA using FOLP - was a great day.

At the same place the other buses do from the parking lot. Through a tunnel, up an escalator then you’re right at the turnstiles
