Virgin pre select meal

Just wondered if anyone had had experience of the pre select meal option with Virgin. Flying from Manchester on 10 March according to their website Virgin send an email out outlining the preferences.

If you log on to your booking on the Virgin Atlantic app, you can choose your meal preferences on there.

OP. Do you mean the UC choices? If so that’s about 3 days before the flight. We have done it quite a few times and it works well.

Our emails have come around 2-3 days before the flight, waiting for next weeks’ at the moment

Tom yes, the UC choices is this sent by email from Virgin ? Have you had experience of doing the same in PE back from Orlando?

Hi. Yes I get the E Mail as I tend to book the flights. Both names on there and 2 tabs for us to select what we want.

However 3 days before go into your booking and you can do it from there as well without waiting for the E Mail.

We did it 6 times last year for the 3 x return UC flights. Certainly 99% ensures you get what you want!

Edit. Ref PE no sorry. We flew out In Aug PE and didn't have an E Mail and sadly we came back early with TC due to a family death so can't answer if that flight would have been a pre booked meal.

I have it in my mind it was Row19 only. Maybe I dreamt it!

When we flew PE from Orlando we received an email from VA to choose our meal.

When we returned from Orlando in December it didn't work and was a case of computer says no however, we had no problems with our flights in January to and from Miami. Had the email 2 or 3 days in advance and clicked on the link and it worked fine. Certainly means that you get what you want from the menu selection.
