Would you say 1:45 is enough time at Heathrow to transfer from terminal 5 to terminal 3 on the outbound? Just need to wait a couple more days for my returns to be released

Depends what dates? Good for peak season or you might get that price indirect to Orlando or Tampa. If you want to stay at FL or you dont mind the drive I would say go for it!

Anything under £500 direct for school hols is good, we are looking around 9th July for 16 nights after dds GCSES. I was hoping for about £500 direct as the kids having broken up yet, looked at FL but dh doesnt want long drives. I thought of staying at FL for a few nights but idealy we want a Villa at the Gulf and another in Orlando. Trying to get flights to and from Tampa but they are expensive direct!

if you come from a Schengen Agreement Country, then yes.
that's what we did last august (from France)
there is just a passport control and security is cleared at your home airport, so no security at FRA

Now, I don't know about the status of the UK or if you considered "international" flight. I think it might be the case, so you might need to clear passport control and security, and this means a longer processing time.

Maybe some UK resident will be able to tell what kind of procedures you'll need to go through with a connection on mainland europe from the UK

but as said above, if you're from a Schengen country, then it's enough time.

I'm on my mobile so I can't pull the details up. I don't know anything about Atlanta, I've only got experience of Chicago airport. Dibbers recommend that you should allow roughly 3 hrs for a USA layover so I was hoping this would be fine. I'm hoping to book the flights later but I'm currently waiting for the Dr to visit my poorly mum!
