Question Anyone been to Cypress Gardens?

Has anyone been to Cypress Gardens? DH & I are planning to go on 10/28. We've been to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia and thought it was absolutely lovely. This is supposed to be a similar theme. I thought it would be a nice break from the frenzy of the other parks.

Busch Gardens in Williamsburg is a theme park with rides and shows etc, at least it was the last time I was there, which was in the early 80's.

Cypress Gardens is a beautiful park with gorgeous floral arrangements, there are some water-skiing shows, but basically, it's a flower garden.
There is a small zoo area, a water park (aimed at the under 10's I would say), a sky ride thing which takes you up in the air to see the view, but that's about it.

We had a really really nice day there - it is very pretty and relaxing ,and my dd just loved the water park bit, we were probably there for an hour or more. Because it is so pretty, there are lots of weddings there, and we saw at least 5 wedding parties, we even had lunch with a bride and groom!

All in all, I would recommend it, but it's not in the slightest like BG in Williamsburg.

I guess I was pretty vague when I compared the two. Blame it on end-of-the-day brain drain.
Neither DH & I are much for thrill rides. What we loved about Busch Gardens was the beauty of the park. There were so many gardens. It's been voted the most beautiful theme park in America and I can understand why.
Thanks for the info.

We went there in November 2000. The gardens are beautiful and we managed to occupy ourselves for the whole day. I took a few photos which you can see on my website here

Thanks everyone.

Oh Carole, those pictures were lovely. I have a horrid black thumb but I love plants and flowers. This is definitely on our to-do list.
If anyone likes this sort of thing and is in Montreal during the summer, you must go to the Botanical Gardens. Hundreds of acres right in the middle of a metropolitan area, very beautiful.
