Been at MK today, got there for opening as up at 5am from jet lag.

30 mins for 7 dwarves, walk ons for haunted house, pirates and various smaller rides. Had paid for LL for Tron but even that was only posting an hour or so most of the morning. We both commented on how the park felt way quieter.

Had dinner in HS and walked around from 7.30 or so. Could’ve had walk ons to everything except rise and slink which only posted 30 mins.

Been at Universal last couple of days... ridden Hadrig 3 times...

20 mins ( after delay yesterday)
30 mins (today rope drop)
80 mins (later on but only took 50)

25 mins Velocicoaster ... only rode it once as dizzy as hell after 😀

Otherwise everything else less than half hour with many walk ons including both Gringots and other HP ride... FP not needed at all last couple of days and that's with lots of rides having rain delays.

Will be at MK and Epcot later on in the week and hoping for a bit of cheerleaderless relief 😉

This thread is confusing.

We seem to have people, apparently there are at same time, telling us it's dead and some telling us it's much busier than normal.

That's usual. It's something I've seen for many years here on the DIBB. People will be there at the same time and some will say it's reasonably quiet whilst others will say it's busy. It goes to show that an individual's experience of the parks is very subjective and fairly meaningless. Just because someone tells you it's quiet (or busy) doesn't mean that's what your own experience will be.

Hence why I tend to use ride wait times as a more objective way of measuring these things.

We were there from 26th April - 3rd May - Longest wait in Universal/IOA was 35 minutes, even though wait times were advertised longer. Longest wait in Epic was for the Donkey Kong Mine Kart ride and that was advertised at 85 minutes, we waited 40.

Parks were more quieter. Wait times did not equate to those shown. mush less.

Well, it's surprising to hear that the Disney parks are so busy. People seemed to think everyone would be at the Universal parks given that they are opening Epic this month.

TBF, my thought process was the parks may be quieter overall as will be waiting for Epic opening up.

It totally depends on what you are wanting out of your day, where you end up compared to the crowds and a lot of luck.

We felt Hollywood Studios was pretty quiet. But we didn't go to Galaxys Edge first thing we went to TSMM. I expect if we'd gone to Galaxy's Edge it would have felt different.

We didn't want to ride Tower of Terror or Rock n Rollercoaster either, which would have had longer queues. We chose not to wait for Slinky and we could get a LL. If that had been a must do ride we would have had a different experience.

We did think it felt a lot busier as we were leaving around 3pm.

We also bought LL as we only have 3 park day this trip. I'm sure that helped our perception too.

And, for you, it sounds like they were quieter.

But for some others who have been there at a similar time this year they say that "the parks are rammed", they "found it a lot busier" and it's "worse than we were expecting".

(BTW, I agree with the logic that people may have been waiting until after Epic opened)

Yup that's what we thought... was surprised with the cheerleader element that deffo added to the Disney parks especially at weekend.
