Landing at mco

Sorry for such a silly question but We haven’t been in years, can someone give me a quick run down once we get off the plane with Virgin at mco, as I can’t remember and I’m thinking we get suitcases and have to give them in again!

We then need to get to hertz car rental!

Once you get through immigration and customs the luggage carousel is just beyond. It used to be that you either put it on the next carousel for transfer over to the main terminal but there’s both a lift and an escalator you can use to get them up to the monorail. We’ve never used the 2nd bag drop. I don’t even know if it still exists.

😀

Security then get you bags.

You can put them onto a secondary transfer belt but we always carry ours onto the monorail to save the wait.

Once the other side, we turn right to pick up the Visitor Toll Pass then on to get the car 😀

Collect your bags and head to the escalator or lift if you have a trolley. Takes you to the shuttle to the main terminals.

Don’t give back the bags. You can be waiting ages to get them back again. Take them on the tram yourself.

As others have said I wouldn’t put the bags on the secondary transfer as it can take up to an hour (past experience). Once you have got the bags there is a lift or escalator to the monorail to the main terminal. Then down in the lift to the lower car rental floor and out to the garage which is opposite if you have done online check in. If not the desks are on the left on the lower floor. Hope you have an amazing time!
