I’m here now it has been busier and hotter than I expected, especially in the last couple days. I was also in AK this morning and it felt rammed to me. I thought I was going to regret booking lightening lanes in advance but I’m really glad I did now.

Deffo busier than we thought it would be... manageable (no LL's etc) but deffo busier...not seen rides times ever like

Ratatouille 100 mins
Ride of Resistance 105 mins
Soaring 70 mins
Cosmic Rewind 135 mins
Rock n Roller Coaster 110 mins
Flights of Passage 100 mins

As said hoping for a bit of a lull and not so many cheerleaders.

The Genie+ or whatever it’s now called totally changed the park dynamic- many more at rope drop, many more milling around all day waiting for slots on rides.
So even when Disney were saying numbers were down, parks seem much busier.
We noticed a huge change as soon as it was introduced. Another reason we stopped going.
Back end of August is one of the quietest times though.

The cheer leaders have arrived this week too - I imagine that adds a few thousand visitors.

We are here now and we always travel here the first two weeks of May (for the past 20 years) I don’t ever remember the parks being as busy as they are right now, it’s rammed! Apart from today it’s been so hot, I don’t remember it being this hot either, we was in MK the other night and I honestly thought I was cooking from the inside a lovely cast member (who saw I was melting) said to me that even the locals were taken aback with heat right now so that made me feel better.

But its still my favourite place earth and we are having the best time.

I agree totally with this. It’s nigh on impossible to get on the headliners without an hour plus wait unless you are there for rope drop.

Apart from today ( which is Mothers Day here) we have walked onto pretty much every ride at Universal, though we are at the parks for opening and usually leave by 12.

We were at Epcot on Friday ( to see John Secada!) and it is the emptiest I have ever seen Epcot. We didn’t attempt to get on Guardians, but walked straight onto Spaceship Earth.

Even for the fireworks, there was no one stood behind us ( we were at the railings near Japan) and I’ve never known as much space around us when we were walking out at park close.

We will be at Hollywood Studios on Tuesday but not too worried about wait times as we are doing the After Hours on Wednesday night, hoping for low wait times then.

We've had a lovely day at Hollywood. It was overcast which meant it wasn't too hot which made a huge difference I think.
We did have lightning lane but we managed

Toy Story MM x2 (1 LL)
Alien Spinning Saucers (LL)
Minnie and Mickeys Runaway Railway (LL)
Rise of Resistance (Single Rider)
Smugglers Run (LL)
Muppets 3D
Indiana Jones Epic
Mickey shorts theatre

Without really waiting for anything.

We did walk nearly 10 miles!

Been here for 7 days how and roped dropped every park. This is the 4th time we have been this exact time of year and much busier than before. We found the week coming to be busier in previous years so don’t hold out too much hope. We got to Hollywood studios 40 mins before the early opening and it was rammed! Crazy busy. Can’t speak for universal as not been yet
