Love this trip report! Just as a rough idea would you say the overall cost of this type of holiday exceeded that of the usual 2 weeks in Florida ie say £5500/£6000?no worries if you'd rather not say! X

Thank you
The holiday was cheaper for us than going to florida - there are no tickets for a start! We didn't stay at the cheapest hotels in New England, so savings can be made there. The flights were also cheaper that year than florida... before the norwegian ones were released!

Thanks for your reply. It is so nice to read a trip report on this type of holiday with kids! I've always thought I'd have to leave it till the kids were all grown up lol! One last question.. Did u use something like Expedia etc to book hotels or just directly with the hotel? Thanks!

We booked directly with the hotels. We did book the flights through trailfinders... must have been a good price. But the hotels were direct which worked out better. There might have been better deals to be had as there are lots of places to stay, but we particularly wanted those places. :-)

Have loved reading your report.
We have booked for August this year and you have given me some good ideas! Not sure I like the fact you saw some big spiders though! |
