Sounds fab . I'm sure the kids will love Brooklyn Heights and Brooklyn Bridge Park, mine certainly do. My girls (10 and 8) really like a quick pit-stop at the swing park, it has a couple of those big swings that you lie back on. Your youngest might like that too but you might need to check a map to find it as it's a bit hidden .

Yes, you must do Greenwich Village this year, it has a great feel to it, plus so many delicious snacks / foods. Oh and the Friends apartment building too of course .

Thanks for reading along and commenting .
Brilliant! Will defo check that swing park out.
Is that bridge (think it's Squibb bridge?) open at all? Think it's a bouncy bridge in BBP? I remember reading it had closed?

I'm pretty sure the bridge has gone . I think it was gone when we went in Sept 2015. We walked it in 2013 or 2014 and the girls loved that it was bouncy! The rest of BBP was mostly a building site then. It's a shame that they've got rid of it as it was a good way to get between the Esplanade and the walkway right down by the water (BBP) but I guess they had their reasons for taking it away .

I'm going to cut and paste the text of this day and print it out for Poot. You'll have him at "book trolley", lol.

He is also very keen to visit the great big Barnes and Noble despite me telling him "Yes, it's big - but it's a chain. And everything is full-price (nooooooo!)."

I must hunt up a good USED bookstore in NY with a decent children's department...

Ah that's a lovely day, those iconic sights and more exploring. Interesting eats too. Fab that you and girls had a nice afternoon while Matt had to work ...
I remember we commented on the rubbish bags, it was off putting !

Another great day, Brooklyn Heights and BBP are now on the list for before we walk the bridge back to Manhattan. We were thinking of getting the subway over, what station would you recommend getting off at?
