Aaaah, what a fab day! LOVE those photobooth pictures

That mystery meat looks like duck to me!

Can't wait to read about your time at Disney!

What a great day, pretty full on! I'm wondering how difficult it would be to get around speaking only English.

not difficult at all. I'm probably overselling my japanese skills, I just learned some key phrases. I found the most effective way was to learn the phrase "this please" which was easily changeable to "this and this please" then you just point. Work a treat sooo

kore = this (pronounced ko-rey)
and = to (pronounced like toe without the e)
kudasai = please (pronounced ku-da-si)

arigatou gozaimasu = thank you very much (you don't pronounce the u on the end of gozaimasu - in all instances when you see a word ending in "masu" the u is usually silent)

FYI - just read that back, it almost sounds like I know what I'm talking about

This just gets better and better. I really must try a cheeseburger sushi next time I'm there. That pedestrian crossing is crazy isn't it/ If you go in Starbucks and go upstairs you can get some great video and photos of it all.
We have so got to go back. I'm realising how much we missed.

Another busy day! All those signs in Japanese look really confusing, I think I'd have to try & learn some basics. Cant wait for Disney!

I used the navitime japan, rio to rome and then downloaded my own google map which is here if useful:

to drive.google/open?id=1Xr...gE&usp=sharing

onto an app called "map plus": duweis/en/mapplus.html which was brilliant!
