Universal Hotels for family of 6

Im assuming with our kids been 8, 6, 4, 2 when we next travel, if we were to book onsite at universal for 2-3 nights we would have to book 2 rooms. Are the rooms interconnecting? If not, It means myself & 2 kids in 1 room and my partner and 2 kids in a seperate room closed off and may not be next door or interconnecting?
Any website i try it just wont bring up the suites with the extra bedroom.

If you get in touch with the hotel directly they will explain the options and give you the price differences. We are a large family and 2 rooms at Royal Pacific works out the cheapest.

What about a family suite at Cabana Bay? Plenty of room for 6 there.
There's no front of line pass but you do get early park entry and it's considerably cheaper than the other hotels

we are a family of 6 and we had a family suite at cabana bay, it was really lovely. 2 rooms cost way too much money for us last year for 3 nights.

we got early entry which was more than enough for us as we had plenty of time over the 3 days to do all the rides

its an amazing hotel with a wonderful food court!
which sells the best chocolate cake!

If you stay at cabana bay can you upgrade your tickets to front of the line.
Is it even worth going to these parks with young kids? or are we better off just sticking with Disney.

The 8 and 6 year old " Yes " to taking them to Universal, the 4 and 2 year old... probably not in all honesty.

We are 6 2 adults 4 kids, I have booked 2 rooms at RLP, the interconnecting door is v important to us, so we will just have to explain when we get there, I understand there are such rooms but not guaranteed, trouble is such a small thing makes such a huge difference 😬
