Over 10s ordering from child menu
Hi,
Wondering whether it is allowable for a 12 year old to order from the child's menu in TS restaurants? If it isn't officially allowed - how likely that many places would accomodate it? As our DD is 12 she obviously has the adult dining plan, so we are wondering if she would rather eat from the child's menu (she's a very picky, light eater) at certain restaurants that we have booked. We could then pay OOP for the child's meal and save the extra TS credits for additional TS meals? Thanks! |

That's fine, but not for buffet, dining package or family style. I intend to order a kids meal for my eldest who will be 10 at Le Cellier and Narcosses

Good point on the signature restaurants. We have The Boathouse booked so could save 2 credits there alone

As long as the meal isn't a set price then it's not a problem at all.

Some restaurants will do an "adult" sized portion of the child's meal, others will just be happy to "take" your adult Ts for a child's one- I would just pay OOP & save the credit.

my daughter sometimes ordered off the children's menu when she was 12. She usually got a bigger sized portion but always had an adult dessert!

Just to clarify, the point of this question wasn't simply to query whether we could order from the child's menu but whether this was allowable for an over 10 yr old
AND if we are able to use our TS credits for the adult meals and pay OOP the child's meal at the child menu price in order to not waste adult TS credits |

Point 1 - Yes, that's fine. You could order a child's meal yourself if that's what you wanted. Same as I could (and i'm much older than 10).
Point 2 - Yes again. You can order a child's meal for your 12yr old and pay for that OOP. You can then save her credit and use it for any of the adults in your party another time. E.g save a few credits to allow you extras to use at a signature (2 credit meal). Just be clear to tell the server that's what you're doing. Hope that helps!

Yes to both. The only restriction is you will be charged adult price/credit for over 10's if buffet or family style meal.
You can use your TS credits however you want. Just let your server know how many you want to use and if you want to pay oop for any meals. Just check the bill they bring you is correct.
