Passport reassurance
Hoping someone with passport info can help please
We go to Spain in July, 2 weeks ago I sent of ds's passport. Post office did the check and send. This morning I have a letter from the passport office saying that the form was filled in incorrectly. I am so annoyed  having paid for the service. Anyway 2 quick questions if anyone can help. It says to fill in a new form which I will do. But it asks for the old passport number which they have kept. Will they just add the number on to it for me? And roughly how long will I have to wait now. Wondering if it's worth making an appointment instead?

Ring the pp office Hiliary, they're in a better position to advise whether you could visit a pp office for the 4 hour turnaround as they hold the pp. You should have sufficient time to resend the application if not required until July. Many have fallen foul of the PO check and send H, it's not always cracked up to what it should be. I believe you may be entitled for a refund of the service under your circumstances.
Good luck!

Once they have got everything they need you should get it back in less than 3 weeks. That's what they say on the internet.
I only paid for check and send once and ended up ignoring the guy as I though he was wrong. And he was. Shouldn't the post office give you your money back? |

I'd definitely call as they'll know exactly what you need to do. I think they're getting through them quite quickly as DD2's form was received last Thursday and the passport was posted yesterday.

It will be back before July. I did DDs first passport last week, sent it off last Tuesday and got her passport this Wednesday. Just waiting for her birth certificate to be returned now. We didn't use check and send, we applied online, so once they get the form correct yours should be even quicker.
