You would think but there doesn't seem to be any info on this. I suppose we'll find out in January.

Well that's us just returned from our trip. Had dining plan for the first two weeks and despite my thread title didn't "make the most of it"! We had a 2 bed villa at OKW so used the kitchen for breakfast most days meaning we had lots of unused credits. So if anyone worries it's mot enough food there's definitely plenty! We didn't do a lot of substituting but did sub desserts for fries in POR food court and swapped QS credits for snacks a few times.

Hi all, ok I'm about page 12 of 45 pages, and finding out some great info.
just about to book SS for 6 nights next Oct. I'm sure the answer to my questions going to be "NO" but... we will be obviously getting the QS dining plan. However i do intend to book a few WS meals during our stay. i just want to confirm that i can't use any of my QS credits to pay for TS meal or even to part pay for it...? Also as i am only a 1/4 of the way through the thread that was started in 2015, are there any BIG differences i should be aware of from back then, compared to now/ next year... thx Dave hx Dave |

When you say you're booking SS, do you mean Saratoga Springs? If so, you get the full dining plan which includes TS/WS meals. If you mean a different resort that only come with the qsdp, then, no, you can't use qs credits as payment towards TS meals.
As far as I'm aware, the first post is kept updated with any major changes. The main one for 2017 is that quick service meals will no longer include a dessert, but the snacks increase from 1 to 2.

I do try and keep post 1 up to date and as far as I know there are no other changes. There's info at the bottom of it about 2017 changes and once we hit January I'll rewrite the post to take that into account.
As Vickie says if SS means Saratoga Springs you will get TS credits. If it's somewhere else and it is in fact QSDP then no, you can't use QS credits to pay towards TS meals. |

OMG... just seen your replies and went back on the disney booking system and i can't believe it...Yes it is sarasota Springs and it is DDP not the QSDP
This has made me so excited guys, and i am now even considering staying on \disney a little longer. (we we doing 6 disney night and 11 offsite villa) might do 11 and 6 instead, taking in to account the spending money.. ok, more questions now then...lol where can't i eat...ive really want to do the Fantasia VIP seating meal, is this included? cheers, Dave Edited at 10:55 PM. |

You can eat pretty much anywhere. If you have a look at the DDP leaflets (there's a link in the first post) it'll tell you where. Check out 2016 though as 2017 hasn't updated yet.
The Fantasmic dining package is included in DDP. Hollywood & Vine and Mama Melrose are 1 credit each and the Brown Derby is 2. Times tend to be early for dinner for the package though. |

Thanks for all the information , not quite read it all tho, please could someone confirm that if using the DDP for TS meal and we are party of 6, will we need to pay both service charge and recommended tip at each meal ? Both are around 20% , how does it work on the bill ? Thanks

Ah thanks for that, think I worked it out after I had posted that they were the same thing ! I'm pleased tho , thought it was starting to sound expensive this 'free' dining !
