Jet lag
Feel I’m really struggling. Got back Tuesday morning (after a night flight where we didn’t sleep at all).
Other than a nap on Tuesday afternoon, stayed up until normal bed time. Wednesday felt ok too. Back to work on Thursday and Friday, was fine until mid afternoon when tiredness really hit and I fell asleep on the way home from work. Last night and today though I feel rubbish, hardly slept last night, feel I don’t want to eat and a bit sick. Assuming it’s just my body getting used to things but urgh just want to feel normal! As if it’s not hard enough coming back to normal from Disney 😓 |

We both struggled to get over the jet lag after this holiday, felt befuddled for about a week, I’d love to know the science of why it’s so awful as in reality you’ve just missed one nights sleep x

My secret is to sit in a quiet dark room and listen to whale and dolphin music.

Horrible isn't it! I struggle when we get home - it normally takes me about a week then it settles down. I sit up until 4-5 am watching all the soaps that I've missed lol

Yeah exactly. I know it is worse coming back for whatever reason. Thankfully fine going out so if I have to suffer I’d rather it was now than have it ruin my holiday. But it’s just horrible x

We are just back today. We try as much as possible to stick to early mornings and early nights. It has helped in the past. I had about 2 hrs on the flight back to London and maybe another 40 mins on the flight up to Glasgow. Just watching the rugby and then I imagine we will try and get to bed. We are having our normal Sunday tomorrow which means up early and down to my parents for breakfast at 930 then visiting dh parents. Try to get back to normal as quick as we can. Hopefully our tactics will work again this time
