We always go for a sedan/saloon car for that reason, since we do a park/mall on the last day.

This was the trouble we had at Port Everglades last year. Just 2 of us but booked a car which would take 4 cases, can’t remember the category but we had definitely upgraded to the size we needed.
We were allocated a car which only accommodated 2 cases, then offered a hybrid which would have struggled to take more than 1 case and a bag. Finally given a Nissan, the equivalent of the X-Trail DH has at home which was a bit of a meh. Feel like they looked at us, saw a couple and tried to fob us off with a car smaller than paid for.
Don’t think they care what you book, only what they can get you to upgrade to.

Just a suggestion / thought.

If the travel agents have provided the car does it include insurance?

Some times this insurance is to be paid locally. If you have to pay insurance locally you could just book your own car this sometimes works out cheaper as well.

I was about to raise the same issue

OP , double check the "included" hire car includes CDW (no excess) and EP (extended protection, aka third party liability for up to 1 million dollars)

if it dosn't, then you'd be better off not collecting that car, and arrange for a rental yourself. It would probably be cheaper than upgrading the car and paying for the insurance

shop around, have a look at the companies listed at the top of this forum, in the yellow box, and get quotes.

you'll obviously need a bigger car, so make sure you have the insurance with your TA, then compare what it would cost for a bigger car (4 people, 4 big cases, I'd say Standard SUV) and see if you can't get it cheaper yourself (have a look at DFCH for example)
