Passed ROFR ! at SSR

share some good news

We were in Florida over April and decided to add on
Made an offer 13th April
Accepted 15th - the Day we flew back
We sent the Paper work across on 16th April and Passed ROFR Yesterday

Just sorting the ITIN

Dear All sorry for the delay-
Dear Pooh Bears

Yes we bought x 2 Direct from Disney Oct 2017 and 2018-

We really liked SSR - bit like having a flat and once chat to neighbours and all are DVC

We are June Use year and based on the advice here :-

wanted to keep the same UY
Looked for a Foreign seller to maximise chance of passing Disney ROFR
One of the Sponsors here is from DVC resale so hence on their mailing list

We found a contract via DVC resale -

June 225 Points - at $104
It had banked points from 2018 and full 2019 --making it 390 points for June 2019
then 225 after

Checked it was a foreign seller and then :-

We offered $100 per point, offered to pay 2019 dues and gone through

We were thinking of Riviera and would have happily bought 200 direct at $167 a point with their developer incentive -- but their points per room are unjustifiable

It a great forum -- I regularly read it on the Iphone when on call

Very good price, and quick ROFR- looks like there may be something in the tactic to go for the foreign seller. You likely won’t take the wash you would do on Riviera when you come to sell with their restrictions. The agents are predicting sub $100 for Riviera on resale, it will be interesting to see if true. Your SSR should appreciate in value if the economy stays good.
