If that happens to us in a couple of weeks I'll have to say politely we want to spend time just the two I'd us. Maybe say we are on honeymoon, though we've been married 38 years

I would never go to a nudist camp in winter 😂😂

I am a really fussy 'British' eater so would struggle to go anywhere where the only food available is 'local' no matter how much I would like to experience the rest of the experience

what really surprises me is the amount of people who say they wouldn't go to certain places , when they have never been there before. FAir enough if you've been somewhere / done something and nort enjoyed it, or say " I don't think I would like X because of... " but to completely reject something when you haven't been I find a little random if I'm honest , especially the "low-brow " places such as campsites, Blackpool or butlins ( try pricing them up in school hols and they ain't cheap)
Go and try them , you might be surprised

Camping!

My Dad and Uncle (RAF) taught me survival skills from an early age. Unless there’s a Zombie apocalypse etc. I will not be camping anytime soon

A Beach all inclusive.
I have a bucket list in my head of places that I want to see and although I have been on some of the best beaches around, even living in Cyprus for 2 years and living in West Cornwall for the past 30, a day here and there in amongst other things is more than enough.

Camping doesn't sound too great either after 12 years in the Army including 3 on attachment to the Royal Marines including Norway's etc . At least I would get a tent these days though! I used to dream of a tent.

I'm not camping either - did it as a child remember waking up to 2 inches of water INSIDE the tent. Now I can afford a hotel or villa there's no way I'm staying in a tent - could manage a caravan though.

I could never stay in a hostel, my son brought back bed bugs from Amsterdam and the house had to be fumigated. He shared a room with loads of friends and they were covered in bites! Coackroach killer got rid if them! 🦟🦂🐜

I was about to say the exact thing the original poster mentioned... sitting around a pool sunbathing every day with a hotel full of bright red loud British tourists in somewhere like Benidorm or Ibiza, then spending the evening just drinking and sitting in the hotel watching mediocre cabaret. One or two days doing the same thing but on a beach instead of at the pool. Awful. I'd be bored out of my tree. Costa Del Pontins.

For me personally I always have to holiday somewhere that is a step up from being at home. What I mean is that we love being at home, surrounded by all of our creature comforts. So, I couldn’t go camping, be without electricity or my straighteners. I couldn’t sleep on the floor or a blow up bed, knowing I have a nice comfy bed at home would make me just pack up and come home 😂
