Dining out in Manchester
Hi dh and I are heading down to Manchester for a couple of nights. Off to see a show at the Palace Theatre and looking for somewhere nice to eat. We enjoy most foods but not fish. Can anyone recommend somewhere around that area? Thanks Sharon

I love a night out and a show hope you enjoy it, one of my favourites is refugemcr/ its part of the Principal hotel, and very near the Palace HThreatre, i little further away I always like the Grill on New York Street, Rosso (italian) or if your splashing out there is Australasia or San carlo .

If you like Chinese you are near China town and I've never had a bad meal down there.
There is the northern quarter about 15 minute walk away with loads of good places to eat.

Turtle Bay is just down the road and is really nice and not too expensive.
Hawksmoor if you fancy splashing out, the steak is amazing. Rudy's is really good pizza and very reasonable. Kala is a brand new restaurant on King Street getting excellent reviews. Haven't been myself but it's on my list.

It depends on your tastes, budget etc.
Hawksmoor is a go-to in Manchester for a special night out. Rudy's for traditional pizza, Crazy Pablo's for modern pizza. Dogs & Dough for hotdogs. Pieminister for a proper pie and mash Richmond's Tea Rooms for classic treats and some lighter fare Northern Soul Grilled Cheese if you want quick and very casual but really tasty Yard & Coop for great chicken in a modern setting Solita is a local favourite Almost Famous is our most popular dirty burger joint. Red's True BBQ is a full on pit BBQ dirty hands dirty face job There's also most of the chains you could want too. |

If you like Indian food Zouk is fantastic. Not your typical indian restaurant but really modern indian cuisine. Fantastic food and not at all expensive. The chicken lollipops are to die for!
