There is a charity in Oldham where I live that has children who are still affected by Chernobyl come to stay with local families.

I could barely watch this episode, it’s become more distressing to watch each week but it’s an excellent drama.

What a superb film. I remember it happening but really had no idea how close it was to being so much worse.

Finished it all now. The final episode, mixing the pre-explosion events and the trial afterwards explaining it all was superbly done.

A fantastic series all round, one of the best I've ever watched.

Sad that it had to happen, and was basically down to the Diyatalov guy (almost certainly spelt that wrong) being a complete a-hole, and going ahead with everything when clearly he shouldn't have.

I have the last one to watch, it has been gripping but stressful, I think it has been really well made, loved it, but so sad

We almost went in Dec as we were in Kiev but because of the political
situation with Russia we were advised against it. There is a Chernobyl museum in Kiev as well

There are loads of vids on youtube of the trips/tours, one thing that shocked me was the other reactors where still in use after the disaster, the last one decommissioned in the year 2000

It has been brilliant, one of the best things on TV. I have been recommending it to everybody.
Even Dd and her bf have been gripped. I might re watch it as I did get confused at first with everyone wearing the same glasses.
